Ingredients:

4-5kg   whole U.S. turkey, giblets removed and rinsed
5   cups white bread, cubed and toasted
2   cups turkey stock, made from giblets
4   stalks celery (with leafy tops), chopped
2   green apples, chopped
1   onion, chopped
1   bay leaf
1   tbsp. paprika
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Dot of butter


Method of preparation:

Mix well paprika with garlic, thyme, pepper and salt. Rub U.S. Turkey well with mixture. Place in a large lightly-greased roasting pan. Let stand for 15 minutes. Cover loosely with lightly buttered foil. Roast at preheated to 350°F for 2 ½ - 3 hours or until cooked through to desired doneness, turning once. Place bread with apple, celery, onion and bay leaf in a casserole. Pour stock over and sprinkle salt and pepper. Dot with butter and roast next to turkey for 25 minutes.
